Super Soul Winning Saturday

It is a beautiful Saturday morning here in Maine.  The temperature is a chirpy 48 degrees and we are living at the end of a great pandemic (or at least that's what some people say).  Our lives have been greatly changed as a nation in light of all that has happened with Covid 19.  Many of us wonder if things will ever get back to the way they use to be.  The majority of our people in this area walk around with mask on covering their faces to guard against contracting the virus.  The main rule now is that everyone stay six feet apart at all times.  What are we going to do about all of this?

Our church has made the decision to go out into the highways and hedges and compel others to trust Christ as their personal Saviour.  What a joy it is to be able to do this.  May today be the day that many get saved and their lives forever changed.  The Bible declares in 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ he is a new creature.  When Jesus saves a person he makes them a brand new person.  I never tire of seeing this in a persons life.  I'm encouraged today in this time of panic to preach the gospel to every creature.  May that Lord help us today to be found faithful preaching the gospel to the lost.

I love each of you and thank God for His blessings on me!  Well GLORY!!!

The Riches of His Grace.......
What a powerful day I had on yesterday.  Saturday as I was preparing for the Sunday messages my heart was stirred out of Ephesians about the Riches of His Grace.  It was a joy to preach yesterday two messages about this at Calvary Baptist Church!  Thank the Lord for the faithful that came out to the meetings.
In the afternoon the wind was blowing around 45 miles per hour and I prayed about flying up to New Vineyard for the service.  I'm glad I obeyed the Lord.  When I took off it was bad turbulence but when I climbed through 4000 feet it was wicked smooth!  It was a beautiful flight there and back.  The service was blessed of God with 10 out.  I flew back home at 199 knots an hour and made it back in 25 minutes.  In the evening service we had a great crowd and the Lord met with us!  It was a full day of ministry.
Today I'm plowing and moving snow and going to the tournament where two of our teams are playing today.  This morning I'm up early (3:45 a.m) studying and seeking God also......  It never gets old!  BOOM!  BLESS GOD!

I LOVE THE BIBLE

I LOVE THE BIBLE

(Warning! In our modern culture of reading 140 words or less in a tweet or a funny comment on Facebook you probably won't have time to read this.  But if you decide God may speak to your heart as He did mine!)

In our readings today out of Genesis 20 the God of Heaven is speaking to me in a wonderful way.  I hope and pray that you have a plan for getting into the BIBLE!  The LORD directs us in such a wonderful way as we read the HOLY SCRIPTURES!!!  How do we know what the ALMIGHTY wants for us if we do not listen to HIM as HE speaks through the WORD!  Let's see what HE has to say........

Abimelech says in Genesis 20:9 "thou hast done deeds unto me that ought not to be done."

How many times in the course of our life have we made a statement like this.  Some days we have made this is reference to what has happened to us and other days people have made this statement in what we have done to them.  Whatever the case it's always a bad situation!  We must ask ourselves some questions.  So what is it that I have done?  What are the deeds that have troubled you?  Let's deal with it!

For Abraham it was several things that he had done.  For one we find in verse 2 that he lied.  He said that Sarah was his sister.  You can say whatever you wish but it's always wrong to lie!  God said so and that settles it.  You can sugar coat it, hide it between a phrase your saying, but a lie is a lie!  It's causes havoc in situations of life and ultimately brings us to a place where we say, "thou hast done deeds unto me that ought not to be done".

Second Abraham was not transparent.  He was hiding something when he should have just been open and honest.  If we have anything to hide theirs a reason we are hiding it.  Why are we hiding it?  Are we being deceitful?  As Christians we should have nothing to hide.  We should never be ashamed of the way were living, giving, or what were attending!  Theirs something major wrong when were talking out of both sides of our mouth!

Third and last of all Abraham did his own thing. In verse 11 he said, "because I thought".  We get in trouble all to often when we do our own thing.  Why are we doing what we think we should do.  Why not do what God wants us to do!  Why not look to see what God's Word has to say about what were going through!

My love for the Bible has steadily grown in my 25 plus years of ministry.  What a joy it is to continually see what the Bible has to say to us on a daily basis.  Are you experiencing this yourself?  I do believe it's a sad day in Christendom when people read so many extra biblical books and rarely even open the covers of the Bible!  Could this be a reason we are where we are at today as a nation and a community!  May the God of Heaven arrest our souls and cause us to fall in love all over again with the BIBLE and the GOD of the BIBLE!!!

Bless the LORD!  WORTHY IS THE LAMB!!!

Greetings in Jesus Name

My heart is stirred as I type out this wonderful update about the Power of the Gospel!  Many many years ago we met a family in our town that brought their kids to Master Clubs.  We love families so it was easy to meet and greet another family that were bringing their kids.  Through the years we have stayed in contact with them.  Just recently the husband ask me to be the chaplain for his CAP flight that he was developing in Sanford.  I accepted the invitation and have been taking part in this for over six months.  I have been praying that God would use these divine appointments  to be able to lead him to Christ.  Well Glory to God it all happened last night.  Bless the Lord for the God of Heaven working out the details to ultimately be able to lead him to Christ.  God is moving and stirring among us here in New England.  I encouraged to see more people saved!

CONSIDERING A NEW YEARS CELEBRATION
1 Corinthians 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
I would like to encourage you today as you make plans for how you will celebrate the new year to make for sure that it brings Glory to God. For me that decision is somewhat a no brainer. We have services tonight at our church. At 6 p.m. we meet for prayer and are seeking God for a new campus for our church and ministry. At 6:30 we will be worshipping our Lord in singing. As the service continues I am anxiously awaiting the time to share what the Lord has put on my heart for the theme of the new year. When we get into our automobiles to go home our conscience will be clear that we have honored the God of Heaven with our life! Amen and Amen.
On the other hand many of you are making plans now to go to questionable places at best. Some are going to go dancing and drinking. Is that the best things for you? Alcohol alters the way you think and react. Is this a good thing to be involved in? Some will go dancing. As you dance others will be there drinking or smoking dope among other things and will begin to act in ways that absolutely do not honor God at all. Married couples will begin to dance with other wives and husbands. This doesn't even make sense? Why would we even desire to be involved in these types of activities. Still yet others will go to a movie and then go out for some late night drinks. Is this the way you want to dedicate your new year? Others will hang out and listen to people continually take the name of God in vain and laugh along with them as they mock our God! REALLY???
God created each of us with a will. We have the ability to make a good decision right now. Why not decide to honor God with your life instead of going to some questionable party and be tempted to do something that causes tragic results!
May the God of Heaven help us to glorify Him with our lives, this day and everyday in 2015!!!
