On my way to Mentor Pastor Schoppe

April 30th 2012 5:33 a.m.

Greetings in the Glorious Name of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ

What a powerful day we had on yesterday.  Thank God for 129 in Sunday School.  I want to break the 150 mark soon.  God granted power and glory on our services all day.  I bless His Holy Name for what He is doing in our midst.  Last night was very special as we had the Lords Supper.  Wow!  What a Saviour!  In the afternoon I took a plane load up to Jackman.  I'm rejoicing in how God is blessing and moving there.

Today I'm working on a custom desk for Mrs. Martel and flying to Islesboro to spend some mentoring time with Pastor Schoppe.  I will also make some other stops along the way.  Tonight is family night.  Pray for me today that God would use me in a mighty way.

Glory to God and the Lamb forever!

I had a wonderful time yesterday working around the house, chatting with people and fixing cabinets at the Martel's house.  I also installed a microwave (smile)!    Last night my wife and I drove up to Lewiston and was part of the spring formal at Open Door Christian Academy.  God blessed and moved as I preached on what kind of life are you building.  Praise the Lord for a great day.

Today I'm studying this morning and preaching three times through out the day.  Please pray for me that God would fill me with His power to preach the Word of God.  Pray also for the liberty of the Holy Ghost in the services.  As you pray remember to pray for an ear infection that I have.  Ask God to heal me please.  I believe in prayer!

What a tremendous morning I had yesterday. Chapel was a great blessing as I preached on the Man God used to build His House. Solomon was a man that was a recipient of God's gifts. God gave him wisdom, understanding, and largeness of heart. That's the kind of man I want to be. May God grant it as we build churches here in the northeast. I went visiting afterwards and was able to sit in the helicopter you see. That's was neat! In the evening I spent time with my family.

Today I'm studying, soul-winning, working around the house and preaching tonight up in Auburn at a school formal for Open Door Bible Baptist Church. It's going to be a wonderful day in the Lord Jesus Christ!

Well Hallelujah!!

I had a tremendous day on yesterday. I was busy at the church in the morning in Bible class and studying. After that I discipled Scott Colwell. Then I flew down to Boston to spend time with the Martels at Brigham and Womans hospital. Praise the Lord that God is answering prayers for Francis. I flew home and spent the rest of the evening with my family. We had a great night together and a strong family devotion on the importance of giving our all to the Lord and His work.

Today I'm studying to preach chapel this morning. After that I will visit. Then I'm trying to complete a cabinet job. Also I'm building a custom desk for someone. I may even get my hands dirty on the motorhome working on it and getting it ready for the road this summer for our missions. Glory to God!

Greetings in the Precious Name of my Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ

I bless His Holy Name for how good He has been to me! What a mighty God we serve. Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord Praise ye the Lord!

My day was blessed yesterday. I worked in my cabinet shop making things for a house I'm trying to finish up. Days off for me consist of doing something different. I normally don't just sit around.

Today I'm studying this morning, visiting today in the hospitals, soul-winning, teaching Bible, working on cabinets and a custom desk I'm building and spending time with my family. It's going to be another glorious day to serve the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Have you ever thought about the Bible characters that we read about in the scriptures. We read many things about their lives but they also lived day by day. God want's us to be faithful day by day. Some of the Bible characters you read after have only thing they accomplished that is recorded but they had a complete life. Let's be faithful to the Lord. Our life may not consist of many big things but if were faithful I believe we will hear Him say "Well done!" Glory!

Greetings in Jesus Name on this wet and rainy Monday morning

What a powerful day on yesterday. God is so good! We had a great crowd and a good spirit in the meeting all day. After the service I baptized Ed a man that got saved on Saturday night. It's so exciting to see what God is doing!

Today I'm studying and working around the house. The kids go back to school today also. It's going to be great to get back into the groove of school etc... We really did enjoy our week of vacation with the kids doing different things.

In the Jackman mission yesterday there were four first time visitors. Praise God for the girl that was led to Christ out on Soul-winning. She brought two visitors with her and Alice brought a visitor also. I was not able to make it because of weather. Pastor Benard filled in for me from Quebec. Praise God for this! The Lord is moving and working!

Greetings in Jesus Name on this rainy wet but glorious Sunday morning

Yesterday I was up early studying. After that I had the privilege to go and visit many people in the hospital. My last visit a man named Matthew who was in the hosipital with a sheriff trusted Christ as his personal Saviour. (I take it he was in jail and something happened) What a joy to lead a man to Christ out on hospital visitation. After that I discipled a young man in our church for a while. In the afternoon I worked at the church fixing things and cleaning. In the afternoon I studied the Bible. Last night we had our monthly Saturday night jubilee and a jubilee it was. We had four messages from the Word of God. At the invitation a man that had visited on Wednesday came forward and got saved. I'm baptizing him this morning. What a joy! We had around 175 out for this meeting. It was a blessing.

Today is church all day and I'm looking forward to what's going to happen. Pray that the God of Heaven would move in power and great glory on the meetings. Their is so much to do and so little time to do it. Pray for souls!

Praise the Lord for a Super Saturday to Serve the Saviour!

Yesterday was a great blessing. I played golf in the morning. In the afternoon I studied for the couples retreat. A little after five my wife and I flew up to Brunswick. It took us about 15 minutes. Crazy! When we got there I was able to talk with a man and he gave us a car to drive over to the hotel. After we got done speaking we flew back around 10. It was a beautiful night to fly home. I believe God used us and helped us all at the retreat.

Today I'm studying this morning. Then I'm going out soul-winning with one of our new converts. In the afternoon I'm going to study more. Tonight is Saturday night jubilee. Make your plans to be here it's going to be great. God is Faithful and He proves His Faithfulness time and time again at these meetings. It's a blessing to go and hear God's Word preached and fellowship with one another. Pastor Brian Wilkins will be bringing the message tonight. Glory to God and Lamb forever!

Greetings in Jesus Name What a wonderful day on yesterday. I enjoyed flying and finally getting my Bi-annual flight review and my Instrument Proficiency Check. We did multiple approaches and ended up shooting two approaches on one engine. That was good practice. The airplane climbed out of MHT at 1,000 a minute on one engine. It's a great performer. After that I met with Pastor Barnes about camp. We had good fellowship. I flew home in the afternoon and got ready for our evening service. My what a service we had. Bro. Jordan did a great job with his testimony. It was very good. Bro. Tim Martell preached and he did a great job again. Bro. Stephen Perkins preached our final message and he hit it out of the park. What a joy and delight it was to have his family with us. Today I'm working around the homeplace more and going out to fellowship tonight with a family in the church. It's going to be a Glorious day! We are getting a lot of things done this week on vacation. Yesterday we finished the wood pile. We are still working on the barn and should have it finished by the end of the week. It's fun to work together as a family.

Tonight we have Stephen Perkins preaching for us. I can't wait to see what God is going to do in and through the preaching of the Word of God. We also have a couple of our other men preaching tonight to. It's wonderful to be training people for the work of the ministry.

This afternoon I will be flying to finish up my bi-annual and IPC for the twin. Pray for me that it all comes together.

Praise the Lord for yesterday. Our Sunday School was down a bit because of vacation but we still had 117 there. Glory!

The services all day were a huge blessing. I preached yesterday morning out of 1 Samuel on Who's your King. Yesterday afternoon Miss Eleanor and I flew up to Jackman and I preached on the Timeline of the Bible. We had sweet fellowship with the believers there. I flew home and then last night preached on the subject of Leaven in the N.T. emphasizing the Leaven of the Pharisees which is Hypocrisy. I love the Word of God how it convicts of sin and changes us. Bless His Holy Name!

We are on vacation this week so it's time to get the chores done around the house. Pray fervently for us as we go at it this week.

Greetings in the Strong and Mighty Name of the Lord Jesus Christ

I can't wait to see what our Great God is going to accomplish today as we gather together at Calvary Baptist Church and the First Baptist Church of Jackman Maine. I'm praying for their to be a revival spirit in our midst as the Word of God is preached. I'm praying also for conviction to fall upon the souls of those that are gathered together. What we pray for is a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit! Oh Lord send the power!

Yesterday I studied and cut wood. I almost got finished with my woodpile. A couple more hours and it will be all set. I worked on it six or seven hours until my arms starting cramping and I couldn't hold the saw anymore. Monday Lord willing I will finish.

The ladies from church enjoyed their time at Victory yesterday. God is so good to allow them the day together. Our van tore up on the way home so we will have to get it fixed down there. God knows. If it's mechanical it's going to break sometime or another.

Please pray for me today as I preach and fly and minister to the needs of God's people and to the souls that need to be saved all around us.

Eph 5:16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Col 4:5 Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.

Time is an interesting subject. Here in these verses we are told to be redeeming the time. What does that mean?

1805 1805 εξαγοραζω exagorazo ex-ag-or-ad’-zo

from 1537 and 59; TDNT-1:124,19; v

AV-redeem 4; 4

1) to redeem
1a) by payment of a price to recover from the power of another, to ransom, buy off
1b) metaph. of Christ freeing the elect from the dominion of the Mosaic Law at the price of his vicarious death
2) to buy up, to buy up for one’s self, for one’s use
2a) to make wise and sacred use of every opportunity for doing good, so that zeal and well doing are as itwere the purchase money by which we make the time our own

This definition is straight out of the strongs concordance. Let's look at parts of it.

Redeem: By payment of a price to recover from the power of another

I love this aspect of the definition. Understand that time is what we are told to be redeeming. We are recovering (redeeming) time back from the power of another. That's right Satan has used our time long enough it's time we redeem it and get it back from him so we can use it for God's Glory. How many times have you heard someone say or even said your self, "I have given Satan enough of my life it's time I live for the Lord Jesus Christ." This is what their talking about.

Redeem: to make wise and sacred use of every opportunity for doing good

I also love this part of the definition. We need to think about every oppurtunity that is presented to us. We need to use everyone of these oppurtunities for doing good not evil. Time is something that once it's gone we never get it back. But in God's economy because He's a great and mighty God He does allow us to redeem it.

May each of us take what God has given us for the rest of our days and redeem it for His honor and Glory. Amen and Amen!

Now to an illustration.

Yesterday I was up early studying and preparing for chapel. Before chapel I flew up to Portland to visit. Let's look at time I redeemed by using a modern tool called an airplane. Understand that on shorter trips it's more difficult to redeem time but you do redeem some.

I left Sanford at 9:30
I visited at Maine Medical till 10:25
I was in Chapel Preaching at 10:55

If I was driving I would have left at 9:30
Got into Portland at 10:30
Visited till 11
Drove home by 12.
So you see how I redeemed just over an hour.

Another illustration from yesterday.

I left Sanford at 2p.m. to fly to Manchester N.H. with my wife.
We arrived and set up our display at Victory Baptist Church and flew home at 3 p.m.

To drive it would be like this.

Leave a 2 arrive at 3:30
Set up display and drive home and be home by 6 because of rush hour.

So you see I redeemed three hours.

So yesterday alone just by using an airplane I redeemed four hours. Well somebody say Glory!! This is time that I can use doing other things for the Glory of God! It's exciting to make the most out of every day.

May each of us Redeem the time that we have!

Greetings in Jesus Name

What a beautiful morning we have today. It's 29 degrees and already starting to be light outside. I love this time change.

I studied yesterday morning for a while and then went and made several visits at the hospital. I spent around an hour with one person sharing the gospel. He didn't get saved but I hope to see him at church today. After that I shared with Bro. Brunson and his son Jared what I wanted done with some woodworking projects. Then we went to the airport and I found this lock nut (the one in the picture in the post before) that was loose. When I flew the airplane it was noticably different. Praise the Lord for finding this. It never ceases to amaze me how the Lord helps and directs. I spent the evening with my family.

Today I can't wait to see what the Lord is going to do in the services. I will be preaching this morning, this afternoon and tonight. Also tonight is our spring program emphasizing the resurrection. It's going to be real good! See you there? Pray for the Power of God to be on the meetings today!

Pray also for my friends wife Pat who is in the hospital this morning. Ask God to move in this situation. He's a Pastor friend of mine in S.C.
