Greetings in the Glorious, Powerful, Magnificent Name of our Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ!!!!

Tit 2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Their are several things in this text that speak to me today as I type out this morning's blog. First of all we see the wonderful gift in this verse. The scriptures declare that HE "gave himself for us,." Can you imagine that the Son of God died for us on the Cross. He gave himself for a bunch of old sinners like you and me. Oh what a Saviour.

Next we see not only the gift but we see the redemption. He paid the price for us to be redeemed when He shed His precious blood on Calvary for our sins. Not only have we been redeemed but redeemed from all iniquity. When He sees me He sees the Blood. Glory!!! Amen!!!! We that know Christ as our Saviour have been justified. We have received the imputed righteousness of Christ.

Third, not only the gift, the redemption, but now we see the purification!!! Before God in Heaven the Bible is clear to teach us that we have received the imputed righteousness that comes through faith in the finished work of Christ on the Cross. But that doesn't mean we are not pure while here on earth. We are to be a people that are fit for heaven, sanctified, meet for the masters use. What we must be clear on is that we are not working for our righteousness, but working because we are righteous and have been purified by the Blood of Christ. This purification does two things for us. First we are a peculiar people. God's people are different than the world. Most churches you go into today you can't tell whether they are Christians or people of the world. Most families that you see walking around in the stores their is no difference. The Lord said we are a peculiar people. I didn't make that up!!! What kind of person are you today? Next he said, zealous of good works. Hows your zeal today? If I have been told once in my life I have been told a 100 times, "that preachers crazy!!" Come on now, am I really crazy or is their just a little zeal there? I'm not crazy I'm a zealot!!! That's what the scripture tells us we are to be. That zeal transfers over into good works. We are zealous to do the work of God!!! Whatever the scriptures teach us to do, we do and we do it gladly with ZEAL!!!!

This is what the scriptures declare. What will you do with the Word of God today? Don't tell me your just going to say, "Oh that was another good devotion." Don't forget the price Jesus Christ paid on Calvary for our sins to redeem us. This is to great of price to just be a nominal Christian. We are to be zealots for His Cause!!!!

A Servant for Christ
